HI there,

I bought a Tele Custom Reissue with a 3 saddle Ashtray bridge.

I want to replace this with a bridge that has the Ashtray side, but has the new oblong six saddles! I bought what I thought was the correct part but it has 3 screwholes at the bridge and two above the pickup, so it does not fit correctly.

What I'm looking for would be THIS (note 4 screwholes and 6 through-body holes at correct location). Image

But with THESE saddles

Does what I'm looking for exist?

Thanks in Advance!

Check out the "Gotoh Modern Bridge for Tele" at Stewart MacDonald.
They have 4 screws which are 2.550" (about 2-35/64" or 2-9/16") from end screw center to end screw center, and .850" (about 27/32" or 7/8") from screw center to the next screw center (see the specs tab). Measure your screw hole distances to see if this bridge will work for you.

I had a wee look and from what I can see it doesn't have the Ashtray sides, which I would like.

Actually on that note I really like the look of the tele when I stick the full Ashtray cover on it but I find it hard to muffle the strings, anyone know of an ashtray cover that is half the size of the traditional one?

I've never seen an "ashtray" bridge with modern saddles.
I thought that you were just looking for a modern bridge with compatible screw holes.

I Found this one, which looks closest to what I'm after. Not ideal, but better.

Thats about as close as your going to get for a 6-saddle bridge; most of the ashtray-type bridges that are out there have the barrel saddles instead of the rectangular saddles. In fact most of them are going to have only have 3 saddles but with some type of compensation milled into the saddle for better intonation.
