im waiting for all the parts to come in, but here is whats going to happen.

black body (using alder or maple)
maple fretboard
white pearl pickguard
chrome hardware
locking tuners
vintage style saddles
EMG RT at the bridge bridge
EMG 60 at the neck (chrome)

not too much customization with this one really.

Loogs great so far. Is it going to be strung through the body or a top-loader?

I'm itching to see how it looks when the edges of the top and back are rounded off.

That looks like Alder. I was wondering what the benefits of a Maple bodied tele would be? I'm not sure I've seen a maple body Tele before. Seems like it might be heavy. I imagine there were alot of the maples back in the 70's during the quality control days or lack there of. Nice job though.

What kind of saddle's are you planning? I've seen some brass saddles on a G&L Ithought that might be Cool. My first Tele had the steel saddles like yours. My current axe has 3 compensated Brass Saddles and I really like them. Seems to bring out more sustain. 8)

these saddles buzz a lot and make the guitar sound lifeless. i was going to just buy whichever saddles have the best reviews on stewmac. probably the set of 3 brass ones.
