I recently bought an American Standard Telecaster (natural finish) and have had no end of problems with it - strings choking due to problems with the nut and worst of all, a harmonic overtone produced on the 3rd string when played open that carried on ringing when the string was stopped! The guitar went back to Fender and it came back with more problems! I have returned the guitar to the shop for a refund and have written to Fender for an explanation of the problems.

Sounds like issues with the nut from the description.
But telling us Fender has less than perfect QA is not a news flash.
It's a feature.

My Baja has so many niggling little screwups, factory supplied mojo!
