Hello all, new to the forums. Just wanted to share some pics of my Tele. It's a 2010 American Standard Tele, it's candy cola with a maple neck. I'm mostly a metalhead but I love classic rock and blues too and wanted a Tele for a long time before I got this beauty. I've had it for about 9 months now, the only thing I did is switch the pickups to Vintage Noiseless.

I like them a lot actaually, I can still get the classic Tele sound without the hum and even Strat like tones from the neck pup.

Looks great, nicely photographed too. It'd be good to post the photos in the topic/thread called "Lets take a look at your tele", there are about 55 pages worth of photos of people's teles in there.

Cheers
Steve

That is a really sweet looking tele....I'm wondering if it would look cooler with a black pickguard. I have the crimson transparent and I love the contrast with the red and the black. On second thought, maybe mine would look cooler with a white pickguard. Mmmmm....

I love this - we don't take the freaking stickers off, but we change the pickups?

Actually those pics are from the first day I bought it, before I took the stickers off or changed the pups.

Here it is now.

I've heard mixed reactions about the VNs in both Teles and Strats. Thanx for posting.

Me? I pull those metallic CE and do not discard stickers on the neck plate as soon as may be.

I recently bought an American Standard Telecaster (natural finish) and have had no end of problems with it - strings choking due to problems with the nut and worst of all, a harmonic overtone produced on the 3rd string when played open that carried on ringing when the string was stopped! The guitar went back to Fender and it came back with more problems! I have returned the guitar to the shop for a refund and have written to Fender for an explanation of the problems.
