Cool guitar but I've never seen one quite like that either. Anything is possible; it could be some kind of limited run guitar from Fender Japan - and I'm not sure how to follow up with them. On the other hand it could be a parts guitar using a Fender MIJ neck and some other Fender parts.

I don't know but that is a really cool set up with the Tele neck pu in the middle. Does that thing sound good? Maybe someone just had that pickup installed . Can you tell if it's stock or not?

Okay I retract my comment about it possibly being a parts guitar; evidently it's an available MIJ model and not a limited run since the one in the ebay auction is more recent than the OPs guitar. Fender Japan does a lot of interesting things that frankly we never see here in the USA unless someone picks one up and brings it here. Since Fender's factory in Mexico opened up they only bring a few selected models here to the USA these days.
