Hi.Im new on forum.I never tried any tele but I really like the way they look and Im going to buy some but at the moment dont have any possibility to try any because there is REALLY not much teles in shops near my city, especially Fenders. So I have some questions about neck.I'm thinking about Fender 72 Thinline,Feder 72 Tele Custom and Squier 69 Thinline(some of you will leaf but I read reveiews and they are EXTREMLY good, especially for that price). In specifications all these 3 models have 7.25" radius fingerboard(but I heard that there is bug in Squier specifications on webpage and it's 9.5" [but probably they have really small neck and more comfortable than even Fender Standard Teles]).I am tall(188) and have kinda long hands and fingers(tho thin) and here comes my question:will these guitars can be good for some one like me?Or should I look for something else?Mainly I would use Tele for rhythm.I think there is some Teles lovers and some1 will answer me.
Best regards

Teles are great rhythm guitars. I like single coil pickups for rhythm, but even Teles with humbuckers can work very well. Neck radius is also a personal preference, and it is always best to go to a Guitar Center or other Fender dealer and try out a bunch of them. Im not sure where you live, but there almost has to be a Fender dealer within 50 miles of you. It would be time well spent to find one and spend a day there.
Good luck...

My next guitar is going to be a telecaster. But, I am in the same boat as Lukasz. We have two Fender dealers in our city of 700,000+ and neither of them carry any telecasters. I really would like to test drive several different types before I buy.

Excellent choices in guitars, ultimately the squire is good but everyone would rather swear by the Fender brand.

squier vintage modified teles are realy cool especially for their prices. The decision about the neck isn't depends on the player's physical specialities. I thing it depends on how you feel, comfprtable or not. I like the U shaped tele necks. VM squiers can hold this step. Their necks feel really cool, pickups are more powerful than before and also craftmanship is much more better than before.
However if you can afford an US fender tele, I recomend that one. Becouse that's the real one.

Ive got a 72 thinline. Absolutely love it, but I dont know how the neck compares to other tele's. But then, I doubt having a solid description will tell you much. Its kinda something you have to feel to figure out if you like it. I know that may be difficult if you dont have a good guitarshop in town.
