Hey, I'm new here! I bought a Squire Classic Vibe Tele a week or so ago, and when I went into GC yesterday, I saw a special on the Fender Special Run Tele and I couldn't hold myself back, so I traded in the Squire.
I LOVE this guitar, but I was just curious about noiseless pickups. I will be playing a lot of alternative/emo-ish stuff. (Not screaming, heavy distortion type) so it makes sense to look into noiseless. But I love the tone already, so I don't want to sacrifice this Tele tone just to get rid of some hot-noise while not playing. Any advice would be great!

Welcome and congrats on your new guitar.

The Noiseless pickups are Fender's name for their stacked humbucker series of pickups. Presuming you mean outright Fender humbuckers, they will not sound as good as the pickups you have in your guitar now.

Too many people get hung up on this 60 cycle hum business. Simply turn your volume off between songs and keep in mind that most people will never hear the hum while the whole band is playing. If you simply can't deal with it then start looking into other brands of stacked or side by side Tele humbuckers.

That right there is some great advice. I was looking into getting a volume/wah pedal next, so I'll just use that. Thanks!

Unless you are going very heavy, you don't have to go noiseless. As long as the guitar is shielded well, it should handle some "grit and dirt" without the noise being annoying. As stated previously, you can turn down the volume between songs. But if the guitar's shielding is poor the hum, buzz, and nearby radio stations will be haunting you while you play even if you have "noiseless" pups. Humbuckers will not improve on your present pups, noise-wise.
