OK - I wanna be #2 in the club, but I know the rules - no picture; no Tele, so I'll just have to be approved as a provisional member until I post pics.

Mine is the Blonde. I've done a few changes and still have another to do. First - I pulled the white pickguard and had Matt Jenny (MJT Aged Guitar Finishes - the same guys that did BlackCatBone's Tele) age a black Bakelite guard for me. Then I pulled all the Phillips head screws and replaced them with aged slotted head screws that were original on the earlier Teles. I still have to pull the steel saddles and replace them w/ brass saddles. When done, it will more closely resemble an earlier '50's Tele. Oh yeah - at saddle change time I'm gonna put on a set of flatwound .10's too.

Then I need to get busy and get an aged leather strap ordered from Bill Silverman at El Dorado Guitar Accessories. (If you've never met Bill, you need to. I met him at the Arlington, TX Guitar show last fall - what a nice guy.)

I hesitated several years to add the Roadworn Tele to my Tele battery, and when I finally got one several months ago I kicked my own butt for not getting one sooner.

I love mine!

ABS, my Brother - as usual, congrats on having a great guitar and an even greater wife - you are a very lucky man!

I'll join in 40 years.
My 2008 will still look pretty new though, I'm betting.

Ricky my brother! Your word is good with me! You are officially #2! I agree with you I do have a great wife! I like you was hesitant to get one but my gorgeous wife saw me play one and said I needed to get it so she ordered it! I absolutely love this guitar! I can't seem to put it down! BTW, I got selected to be an exchange officer to Canada!! We will be in Kingston so you will need to make a road trip up for free room and board and plenty of Teles to play!!!

I'll be a half member. I combined what I think are two of the best teles that Fender has made in years. Here is my Muddy Waters Signature with Road Worn neck. Best pickups Fender has ever made. This guitar sings. Just love these necks. Great combo.

Thanks ABS. They had special wound pickups based on the 52ti pickups. It's got a really nice sound - not as fat as a humbucker, but not as thin as most single coils.

How do you like the neck? Do you have 10's or 9's?

KM,
I LOVE the neck it is amazing! Well broken in and oh so sweet. It came with 10s so I am going to stick with those on it for now.
