i have my mind set on both and ive tried both; what are the differences and has anyone had any problems with ethier?

Highway one - hot tele single coil pickups alnico 3 magnets
texas- hot vintage tele single coil pickups
highway one- fender/ping cast/sealed machine heads
texas- fender gotoh vintage style tuning machines

from the specs pages, those seem to be the main differences.

from those specs, i'd say the texas is more vintage-y (except for the 12" radius) and the hwy 1 is a lil more modern

Hi, here in the UK - and I presume elsewhere - there's a pretty large price difference. In one shop I looked at:

Highway 1: £439.00 (approx. $878.00)
Highway 1 Texas: £749.99 (approx. $1500.00)

But I don't think the prices translate like that in reality.

I have a 2007 HW1, and have had no problems with it, other than not enough time in the day to play it. Another difference to add to Terrpotumus's list is the different saddle material, steel for HW1, brass for Texas HW1. Did they sound different when you played them? Feel much difference?
