How's everyone doing...
I'm looking to sell a Korean Telecaster, but I'm having trouble finding any sort of pricing.

The store I bought it from said that it had been sitting in the back for years and years, and I can't really remember what I paid for it.

I bought with the intent to play it obviously, but other stuff came up, this and that, and I think I've picked it up 2-3 times in the last year.
So I'm going to try to just sell it.

What would be a range on the asking price?
I remember the guy at the store telling me that it might be harder to re-sell a Korean vs. a Mexican, but at the time I didn't really care about re-selling it.

I've found this, which I think is exactly what it is, though I in no way think I'm getting $899

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. In general, is it on the same playing field as a Mexican, or is it better/worse than the Mexicans.
Thanks a lot.

Some pics of it

I was in a Guitar Center last week looking at their used guitars. They had a Korean strat and a bunch of mexican strats. The Korean one played better than all the mexican ones I played and was priced higher as well. I know it's not a strat, but korean vs mexican will follow with both models.

As far as what you can get, a typical price that you will get in very good condition is right around 1/2 the original street price of the guitar new (plus or minus a hundred). Use Guitar Center's advertised price for street price. This can vary quite a bit and the market moves all over the place. A few weeks ago, I sold one of my MIM strats for $320 with a case. I have 2 on craigslist at the moment....one for $300 and one for $250 and have had pretty much no bites.

Does yours have a V neck?

The special Edition Lite Ash series were introduced in 06 and discontinued in 09. They were a step up from the MIM Standard model and featured and ash body, birds eye maple neck, abalone fretboard markers, and Seymour Duncan pups. As with all Fender "Special Edition" models that I know of it is manufactured by Cort who is the second largest guitar maker in the world right behind Samick. Cort has since moved its operations to Indonesia. They sold new for $650-700 and used ones in good to excellent condition are going for $400-450.

Note: Although no longer available in the United States they are still being produced by Cort and sold by Fender in Australia.
