Hi. Newbie here. I have a Nashville Power Tele with the Fishman Powerbridge. For some reason, when using the Powerbridge for the acoustic, the lower three strings are considerably quieter than the higher 3, and the level gets quieter from D down to E. What could be the cause of this, and more importantly, how can I fix this? Is it fixable, or am I going to have to replace the entire pickup? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried changing the strings?

I know when my strings get old (on most of my guitars), the trebel strings still sound loud when the base strings really sound dead. Sometimes it will sound OK accoustically but pluged in you get the real McCoy - dead strings.

Well, unfortunately, being it's the Nashville Power Tele it's prolly not your strings, it's not the pickup and it's prolly not the battery either. (But remember - if you keep the cord plugged into the Power Tele when you're not using it, it will drain the battery - so check that first.)

These are great guitars, but the Fender Fishman piezos have an unfortunate habit of slowly getting sick (quieter than the others) and dieing on you. The transducer will gradually die and you'll have to replace it. If they get moisture in them they are pretty well doomed.

You might want to have a tech that knows what they are doing take a look at it. If indeed it's the individual saddles going out, they are replaceable.

Good luck!

Ha. I'm a newbie to the forum, not to guitar playing, so it's definitely not the strings. Everything is fine on the magnetic pickups.

So, the transducer... well that's no good. I emailed Fishman support, and they seem to think it's the pickup, so I've got to send them the entire bridge to be refurbished. Here's to hoping that does it.

Thanks for the replies.
