Hey guys. Just watching foos on Radio 1 big wkend. Just trying to see what the guitar Shiflett is using. Its a white tele which I thought was a deluxe. Its got a pearl type pick guard and a set of humbuckers.

Any ideas?

According to the May 2011 Guitar World magazine, the guitar in question is one he assembled himself using Warmoth parts. Here's a picture where you can see the headstock says "Shifty":

Thats was the one that died in the middle of their david letterman performance and he had to switch to a gibson half way through.

I'm pretty sure they've pulled the video where his guitar died in the middle of the song. you could see him looking around, looking down, switching the pickup selector, poor bloke.

ohhh never. She's a beaut of a tele. Im not such a tele fan anymore really, but that one caught my eye on the weekend. Mind you, my tele with its alnico's is a beaut so who knows. Tele deluxe then may be the way forward with a slight alteration to the scratchplate.

Cheers for the input guys, appreciate it.
