Well, after some horse trading, extreme edition, I brought home my first telecaster. 2006 standard tele. The pickups sound really nice.

Very nice-I've got a midnight wine one but have thought about getting another in this white and putting a red tortishell pickguard on.
The stock scratchplate looks really nice as is though. I like the neck as well.
Enjoy it :)

very sharp....good score !!

you might want to have a really good look at the pole-piece ends on the bridge p'up, my '05 had an almost invisible drop of 1/8" thick epoxy (or a similar glue) on each pole piece end........when I "popped" each of the 6 drops off, it opened up my tone by about 90%.

i've wondered since then, how many stock Mexi-bridge p'ups get yanked due to transparent glue covering the poles.......
