While checking the Stew-Mac web site I got the urge to purchase the Wilkinson Adjustable bridge to help "tweek" the intonation on my Baja. I purchased the saddles only. Does anyone have any words of wisdom before I jump into it or is this just a straight forward swap for the current brass saddles? The concept appears good.

Thanks

I used these saddles on one of my Teles and I found them to be excellent and give you the ability to get each string in perfect tune.

Since each saddle was for a pair of strings, I found the trick was to get one string perfectly intonated and then check how the 2nd string was.

Lets use the high E and B string for example. I would set the angle based on the picture in the instructions, then get the high E in perfect intonation. If the B was flat or sharp, I would make a small adjustment to the angle of the saddle, then get the E back to perfect intonation, then check the B. Repeat this until both are intonated, then move on to the next pair of strings.

Thanks for the advice, that is what I was looking for. I love the idea of keeping the brass saddles and being in tune. :D

Kong, I just found this thread and wanted to let you know that I installed the saddles about a week ago and they work great. Not a bad job to set them up and the instructions were great. I also dressed the fret ends and it all came out well. What a difference the compensating saddles make and they are very well made. I am very pleased with the result.

Thanks for the advice.
