Is there a way to sort on Fender.com so that I can look at all the guitars available with a "U" Shape neck? I know a '52 Hot Rod has the right neck, but I'm just curious if that kind of sorting is possible. That kind of sorting could apply to any aspect of a guitar (for example "N3 Pickups" or any other detail that may be important).

I don't think the website allows you to sort by neck shape. A good place to start though, would be to look at any and all models with '70's in their name ;) Many of the 70's reissue models have the U shaped neck.

Thanks. My question was really about the sorting. I know there are several models with a U shaped neck (GE Smith Model, James Burton Model, '52 Standard Tele, etc.), I just wanted to know if there was a way to avoid reading the specs on every Tele. What I really want is an American Deluxe Telecaster (because it has the N3 Noiseless pickups and the S-1 Switching) but with a Nocaster neck (the Nocaster neck should be the thickest neck Fender makes - I think it's even thicker than an ordinary Fender U-shape). Problem: the Nocaster neck is being sold for about $1,000 on ebay, and the Deluxe Tele is about $1,700 locally (brand new). I can't really afford a $2,800 guitar so I started looking around at more affordable models to determine how much I have to spend. I found the Baja tele has the S-1 switching, but not the N3 pickups, and that prior year versions had a U shaped neck. I'd just like to keep tabs on which guitars have which features rather than reading a ton of spec sheets (although even that has an upside - I know much more about the variations between Teles than I used to).

Maybe I'll send a suggestion to the Website administrator.
