So... I already posted about my Telecaster that I recently bought.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=54160
The serial # is Z1051352. When I bought it from Guitar Center, the sales person said that the original owner who traded this guitar said that he had the guitar custom built with the vintage bridge instead of the stock bridge. The neck plate has the standard corona ca stamp, but it is also engraved "custom built for (name also engraved) 2002" is there anyway to verify that this is accurate. I am a little confused because the stock bridge came with the guitar as well. I have no doubt that this is a "real" american series telecaster, but am skeptical on the story.

So...why start a new thread? As already requested in the other thread, post some pics, especially of the bridge, neck plate, etc, or are we supposed to just imagine what it looks like? My x-ray vision must have gotten weak with old age, can't see through the ashtray.

Looks like the previous owner had the plate engraved, and the bridge changed, but I'm sure that it did not come from Fender that way, you can even see the holes for the stock bridge screws. Very nice looking axe nonetheless! I would just replace the neck plate with another original without the engraving, you can find them on eBay or some other retailer for cheap. Enjoy it, it looks great, and I'll bet that it sounds great too.
