I picked up a Heineken Telecaster on eBay because I thought it was a pretty unique guitar.
I paid $420.
The neck is really cool with a Heineken red star at the 12th fret.
The body is presumably alder with a polyester finish, with a Tinted Satin Urethane neck.
It's a nice guitar, which like all MIM Fender guitars, can be improved with a change of pickups.
The electronics in this guitar uses an American issue style, Oaks Grigsby 3 way switch, and not the cheaper Mega style switch.
I put Fender SCN noiseless pickups in it and it looks and plays great.
I would note that my Heineken Tele has the body routed to accept a neck humbuckler pickup.
I don't know whether all of these bodies have humbuckler routing.

That's sweet! I don't even drink, and I'd play that.

Why advertise for the company, I don`t even think its nice looking. Looks like more of a gimmick than anything else and I like Heineken beer. If your playing in a bottle throwing club it might fit in. To me, the Heineken logo cheapens the guitar even if it is a limited run. Hope this don`t start a forum rumble cause its only my opinion.

What do you think about guitars with heavy relic, JPD?
I wouldn't want one, but a lot of people do.
Some people pay more money to the Custom Shop to beat up their new guitar, to make a fake, pretend, beat-up, old looking guitar, than I paid for my Heineken Guitar.

If you don't like the Heineken guitar, you don't have to buy one.
That's why Fender makes new guitars without the Heineken graphic.
Of course, you will be hard pressed to find a new MIM Tele for $420.
Do I smell something burning???

Surely, you can't think that this guitar looks "cheap," now that it has a pearl pickguard and Graph Tech Telecaster Guitar Saddles!!

Did I touch a nerve Mick ? Maybe you overlooked the last sentence where I said it was just my opinion. You like it and own one ?, thats your business. No need to get your shorts in a knot.

You didn't touch any nerves JPD.
But you do make me laugh at just how serious you take yourself and your foolish opinion.
I'd suggest that you check your own shorts and then go play your reliced Tele.
BTW, reliced Teles are good to go in "bottle throwing clubs" too.

The tuners are the same as MIA tuners without the staggered post height.
The bridge saddles are MIM and completely different than the current Am Dx saddles.
The electronics are the same as MIA teles, as I basically stated in my first post above.
The bridge saddles are adjustable so you can easily lower the string height with an alan key.

It's a nice guitar, that's unique and will be always be a conversation piece.
Have fun with it, but don't bank on it for your retirement.
It's quite unlikely that it will ever be worth any more than whatever the rate of inflation provides for over time.
By the way, it's a great guitar for playing in "bottle throwing clubs!!"

Now if they would just come out with a Pilsner Urquel and a Becks Telecaster, I would be in Heaven!!
