Hello all! I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I'm thinking of buying a MIM Fender Stratocaster for rehearsals. What do you think of the pics? To me it looks legitimate but I'm no expert...

I'm going nuts reading about bad replicas and such and I'd really appreciate your thoughts! By the way, thanks a lot in advance, not only for the opinions but for sharing knowledge on all things Fender :D

ps: If I do buy it, I'm getting rid of those stickers lol

Haha, first of all I thought that sticker read 'Replica De Cuba'! But thankfully not... what you can do is send the serial number to consumerrelations@fender.com and request to know the full specs of the guitar. If the specs seem to match what you have then go for it... also it wouldn't hurt to ask the seller some questions and see what they reply. I, myself, couldn't say if it was a replica from those images... looks legit to me, if not horrible with those stickers! Hope it helps.

Looks like a nice Mexican Fender " Tele "...Its not a Strat. Like mentioned above, run the serial numbers it`ll tell you all about the guitar. Good luck with it and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the answers! According to Consumer Relations, the serial number is not showing up on their system, so my guess is I'll take a look at that instrument, but I don't know if I'm gonna buy it. :?

If the original owner never registered it then it might not show up, I got the same reply about an amp. One thing that gets me is why is the G string under the string tree with the B string. Nut problem? I dunno but weird
