After ordering from Sweetwater guitars they sent me a nice catalog. About 480+ pages. There is a section of custom telecaster guitars. The new snake head is out there the way that one pickup is configured. I have a USA Nashville b bender. If I had a spare 6000.00.
I might just have one but I do not. Has anyone bought one of these.Check it out at Sweetwater item #tele60shLtd. Guitar center has them also. The history of the guitar is interesting Leo built some in the 1960s. If I am correct one of his first electric guitars. Horton

The original Snake Head guitar was made in 1949.

Yup, it's based on the prototype which Leo lent to various players to get their thoughts on the design and possible improvements that could be made. Personally I wouldn't want one simply because a) I don't like relics b) it's $6000 and c) there's no truss rod for historical accuracy. That being said, it probably sounds pretty cool ^^

Considering the cost of other custom shop guitars out there, and whilst I'm no relic fan myself, I think that $6000 for the snakehead is a (albeit large) good price.

Its made to represent what was done back then, down to the nth degree. If thats what you're after, a piece of history, and want someone to custom build it from the fender shop for you you're gonna have to pay.

Still, the thing looks bad $@!...
