Hi, for the first time in about thirty years I've decided to have a go at adjusting the truss rod on my AmSe Tele. I've always been very worried about this (and still am). I've seen loads of posts over the years saying that between adjustments you need to wait for the neck to settle. Very roughly, how long should you wait? I realise that there are probably quite a few variables here, such as climate maybe and stuff but if someone could give me a rough idea, I would be gratefull.

Thanks
Mark

Hello Mark,
On my Tele and strat I dont experience any lag time, change
is pretty much immediate. I adjust in 1/8 turns only, play for a
day or two and make another adjustment if needed.
On my Gibson SG usually a 3 or 4 day lag time until it settles,
same thing 1/8 turns only. Hope this helped.

Hi, thanks Mr. Bill. I the end I found I was noticing the changes after approx. 3 or 4 hours. I now have a nice almost straight neck and have been able to lower the action to a respectable height.

Thanks for your help,
Mark

P.S. I've also gotten over the fear of doing this.
