I am interested in purchasing this guitar, because i've always wanted a telecaster, but could never find one with that extra crunch. I was hopin to get your guys opinion on this guitar. One major question is, will this guitar be a decent guitar to player heavier type stuff? With the right distortion pedal will it produce a nice crunch sound?

Also, I plan to do alot of clean type playing as well, so knowing the history of telecasters i know im in good hands for the clean channel type stuff. Other than that, please give me any info or experience you guys might have on it.

P.S. Post Pics of yours if you have one, i'd like to see a real picture of it, not stock pictures..

I don't have one, but I've played them at the Moidesto GC from time to time. Lots of distortion, and it sounds great with Wah, and it's still got the tele twang on clean. But really, any tele's gonna give you sick crunch. I have an American Ash and I love how distorted it gets (more than my strat and thinline), so I'd say it's a strong choice

Hey thanks for input! I actually ended up going with the J5 Triple Telecaster. It has THREE Humbucker enforcers. It also has a wammie bar as well, which is nice to have.

Here it is if anyone has no seen it yet..
