and got this telecaster delivered today. Does anyone know if these are just an MIM standard w/graphics or is there anything special about them? It's pretty heavy, about as heavy as my Baja, so I assume maybe it's ash. Any help is appreciated.

No, not the same guy. But pretty lucky I'd say. :)

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Perhaps you could make your co-worker an offer and acquire this rare specimen.

I got a chance to play it a little at work today. It's a really nice guitar. It had a good setup and sounded good through a little practice amp I brought. I had fun playing it. He doesn't play but thinks he's going to give it a go. I gotta say I'm pretty jealous! :)

Make him an offer now so if he decides to give up playing in the future, you might be able to help take it off his hands for him.
