I play modern worship stuff at my church. (hillsong united, Jesus culture, etc.) so alot of delay used with clean tones with the occasional overdrive. I have a PRS SE custom right now, but i've been leaning towards a strat or tele lately!

any advice on which one suits my style? strat or tele?

i started a thread on the same subject on the Strat forum, but i want to get the Tele Forum's point of view also.

Either one should be more than adequate however the Strat will give you more tonal variety and a lot of people find it more comfortable to play-especially for long periods-like some church services tend to be lol.

Easy . . . one of each!
But the Strat first in my opinion. It's a more versatile beast.

And that's what's so funny about these questions, I find my Telecaster way more comfortable to play than my Strat.

So my answer is play what speaks to you.

It is true that the Strat is comfortable, and is an incredibly versatile guitar. But it will all come down to what sound you are looking for. The tele can really have "balls" when you need it to, and I think it is because of the string through body and more wood and mass in the body, since it is not all routed out for the tremolo and spring cavity like a strat. Both guitars play real nice on the clean stuff. Go play a few at a Guitar Center or a good mom and pop store with a decent selection......that will be the only way to know what's right for you......or, and I like this idea......just buy one of each! :D Then you will only have to decide which one to take to church with you each week!!!!!
