Ohhh .... man ... you took off the Saran Wrap? It's gonna go moldy and dry up ... I hate to say it. Now you're never gonna get that fresh new guitar tone again. Bummer, man.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

yep there goes all of the prepackaged mojo that it had.
call fender in the AM and ask them the cost of new mojo plus shipping.
shouldnt be that much since the guitar is brand new.
tell them that its your opinion that the mojo was defective and that
your willing to buy more if they will pay shipping. its a win/win situation. :D

I once left the plastic on a pickguard for a few years........then I noticed it adhered too well to the plastic, and became VERY hard to remove, leaving behind a sticky gunk that was a nightmare to clean off. Now I pull this stuff off right away. Pick and play wear is fine, as long as your guitar doesn't look like you tried to abuse it :P

You better show us a lot of pictures so we can verify whether or not the guitar will be okay.

Wait?! Is it bad to take off that protective plastic from the pickguards... I'm really confused!

No Dan,it doesn't harm your guitar in any way,the guys were just yanking your chain. However it could damage your guitar if you put stickers on it.
