As I understand it the screw hole patterns are not the same between MIM and MIA. (I've never owned a MIM Fender so I've never been able to confirm this or deny) If they were the same I'd offer up the mint green guard that came on one of my Teles and is now in a drawer in the basement. Didn't like it then and still don't. Got one for a Strat too.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I believe your right, AngryHatter.
Some guitars have body mounted pickups with no holes, others have pickguard mounting holes. Some switch and pickup screw holes are countersunk, others not. I ruined a nice new mint green guard by trying to countersink some holes. I play it safe and order from warmoth to make sure I'm getting what I want.

MIM and MIA screw patterns are the same.

It's a sunburst MIM Tele, the funny thing is I found a mint green pickguard in the local GC. It's a Fender brand pickguard and worked out.
