I'm getting extremely tired of seeing special neck plates and headstock nonsense on models that are really just production-line issues. What's it gonna be now, every five years or something?

For special year models, fine, but otherwise it's merely sales tactics.

And, NO, it won't be worth a penny more later. There are zillions of these neck plate guitars from various anniversaries flooding the world right now. Now, 100th anniv.? Well, that might actually MEAN something. (And I hope we all live long enough to see it!)

Doth, your Tele is a 2011, which is established by the 2011 neck plate.
It is not unusual for Fender to issue guitars early in the model year that have necks that were made in the prior year, with the prior year serial number.
If you ever remove the neck from the body, you will see a 2011 build date stamped on the bottom of the neck.

I have a 2006 American Deluxe Ash Strat with the Fender 60th anniversary emblem on the back of the headstock with a DZ5XXXXXXX serial number.
The emblem was clearly added "after the fact," probably on the date that the guitar was built. Fender relocated the serial number to the middle of the headstock, and the emblem was relocated to the top of the headstock, on necks that were made in 2006 with DZ6XXXXXXX serial numbers.

IMHO, there's nothing wrong with marketing and for Fender to create a distinguishing characteristics on their guitars every 5 years, which celebrates the great Fender heritage. It is that history which separates Fender from nearly all other guitar manufacturers.

The problem with these types of guitars, like my 2006 Strat discussed in the above post, is that they are showing up on Ebay as "60th Anniversary Stratocasters" which they are not. They were merely made in Fender's 60th year of operation. Likewise, the in-line Telecasters this year that bear the 60th Anniversary neck plate are not "60th Anniversary Telecasters." They are only Telecasters that were made in the 60th year of Telecaster production. These types of descriptions that are showing up on Ebay listings are misleading to unknowlegable buyers.

Guitars made in the 100th year won't MEAN anything either, unless they are "limited edition" anniversary guitars, which can be expected to appreciate in value over time, more than an in-line production guitar from the same year.

I recently ordered the Limited Edition, Fender 60th Anniversary, Antique Burst Flame Top Telecaster, with gold hardware and pearl tuning keys. This Telecaster is a recreation of the Custom Shop, 40th Anniversary, Flame Top Telecasters, which do MEAN something.

The Fender 60th Anniversary Antique Burst Flame Top Telecaster is not a Custom Shop model, and not as "limited," at 500 guitars, as would be a Custom Shop model, but I'm buying this guitar because I like it and because I can basically afford it. Relative to condition, it should always be worth more than a 2011 in-line American Standard Telecaster, including the Blackguard Blonde, "Limited Edition 60th Anniversary Telecaster" that is being produced all year long in unstated numbers. At least these Teles can be legitimately resold on Ebay as "60th Anniversary Limited Edition Telecasters."

Thank you Fender for issuing non-Custom Shop, limited edition, 60th Anniversary Telecasters this year, that I can afford.
I can only hope that my Flame Top Tele will be as nice as this one that was at NAMM.

My 2010 American Deluxe has a SN of DZ9XXXXXX. It is a 2010 Model as the neck is compound radius and it has the N3's. I ordered it in June and it was delivered in September.

Even though your 2010 American Deluxe is supposed to have a compound radius neck, you may want to check that with a radius gauge.
Being that it has a DZ9XXXXXX serial number, the neck is from Fender 2009 neck stock.
Since the neck was made in 2009, I would be surprised if it wasn't a 9.5" radius, and would bet that it is not a compound radius neck.
Having played a compound radius neck briefly, I find it difficult to feel any actual difference.
Compound radius necks vary from 9.5" at the top of the neck to about a 12" radius at the bottom of the neck.

My Luthier and I have checked it many times, It is a compound radius neck. I have had the neck spec'd out and now use the template with USACG for all my builds with a slight modification of 9-14".

Fender made many Deluxe Necks prior to March 2011, in order to prepare for the new Am Dlx Model. The 2010 models weren't announced at Winter NAMM 2010 due to the fact that Fender was announcing other models and were released after March, which caused many of the first necks to have DZ9 numbers.

After playing so many of my guits with the the compound radius, I can feel it instantly in my hands, and it is fairly easy to see visually as well.
