If so, it might be worth it to wait until they are available.

hmmm... if all 2011 models have the 60 anniv neck plate then to me that makes them not as unusual. It only dates them as a 2011 model. Good marketing strategy though.

The Vintage Hot Rod '52 got an overhaul for 2011: a full-sized chrome-covered Seymour Duncan SH-1N '59 humbucker replaces the Mini humbucking pickup of the earlier models.

This modern reinterpretation of George Harrison's Rosewood Telecaster is very impressive: a 22-fret neck with super-sized frets and an EasyGlider string tree complete the overall look of the instrument.

Finally, an old classic from the past: the Modern Thinline Telecaster, a "recreation" of the 90s Thinline featuring an American Series bridge with bent-steel saddles.

Hmmmm, I'm in the market for a thinline. If this one is nitro AND has a 9.5 or larger radius on a hefty neck with good sized frets, I just might chase it down on release. Anyone know the specs?

The Modern Thinline has the 9.5"-inch radius.

I would assume that every Am Std Tele would have the "60th Anniversary" neckplate. Like what Fender did for the 50th anniversary of the Strat in 2004. So far I've only seen the limited edition 60th Anny Tele getting the 60th neckplate, here http://www.fender.com/products/60th-tel ... No=0116112

I hope someone from Fender can comment on if regular Tele models for 2011 will get it also.

However, putting the 60th neckplate on ALL Teles this year will lead to confusion. People are still confused about the regular production 2004 Am Series Strats versus the 50th Anniversary Special Edition ones because BOTH had the same neckplate. The Special Edition 50th Anny Am Dlx Strats of 2004 were easier to spot.

If hope Fender does not put the 60th neckplate on ALL Teles this year and just reserves it for the Special Edition one.

Hi

From what i can gather from watching and reading the NAMM reports only the (13) 60th anniversary run of tele's will carry the special neck plate. The blackguard blonde edition is i believe going to run all year but the other models are going to be limited to 500 pieces released in different months throughout the year with 1 can't really catch from the video i watched which one it is will only run to 300.

Here's a link to a blog that lists the 12 special versions excluding the blackguard blonde and when they will be released.

Brad...any way of letting us know the quantities each one will be available in?

hope this helps

That GH Rosewood Tele is beautiful. I wonder if you could get that with individual saddles for better intonation.

This is a "modernized" version of the original Rosewood Telecaster! George's Rosewood guitar has 21 vintage frets and a butterfly string tree.

This recreation has given some modern touches such as 22 jumbo frets and an EzyGlider string retainer.

The American Standard I just received had the 60th Anniversary Neckplate. Interestingly, the one I bought 2 weeks earlier from Best Buy did not. So, apparently they are shipping with the plate. I guess?

This classy American Standard Tele has a beautiful antique sunburst finish with a fancy flame maple top and gold-plated hardware. Music Zoo lists this limited-edition guitar for $1,799.99

An elegant take on an old classic: Telecaster Custom meets Jazz Bass! This '75 Telecaster is a '72 Tele Custom loaded with iconic ’75 Jazz Bass cosmetics: maple neck with with black block inlays, black/white/black pickguard, natural ash body, Jazz Bass knobs and an arm contour. Interesting mix of Fender design cues!

The Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele with the full-sized chrome-covered Seymour Duncan SH-1N '59 humbucker is only on the 500 run, Limited Edition, 60th Anniversary Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele. The regular, Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele inline Model: 0100232850, with the mini humbuckler, is also continued by Fender for 2011.

The interesting fact is that the Limited Edition, 60th Anniversary Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele has an MSRP of $1,799, while the Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele inline Model: 0100232850, has an MSRP of $2,299. The actual selling price will probably be quite similar, however.

All 2011 production Telecasters will have the 60th Anniversary neck plate, if this fender Rep is to be believed (he states that the actual 60th Anniversary production guitar has a flat radius neck):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6FS2ZMv ... re=related

Just because a production 60th Anniversary Telecaster comes with a 60th Anniversary neck plate, doesn't mean that it is a "60th Anniversary Telecaster." It only means that it was produced in the 60th Anniversary year.

Only the actual 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Telecaster, Model: 0116112768, which is currently listed on the Fender web site, will be produced all year long in undisclosed numbers, and the limited edition models that will be issued each month (300-500 each), are considered "60th Anniversary Telecasters."

My American Standard Ash Tele arrived yesterday. I ordered it in September, it has a "US10XXXXXX" Serial number, which I believe makes it a 2010. But it has the 60th anniversary plate.
