Motorcitychick posted a thread about the Brown's Canyon Tele guitar on the Stratocaster discussion forum, so I'll start my own thread for this guitar on the right discussion page.

The Brown's Canyon is a lacquer Telecaster with a Redwood body made out of wood from an 1890s Northern California Trestle Railway bridge. This guitar comes with photos and history of the bridge. The Music Zoo website lists this beauty for a total price of $1,799.99.

I did post about this guitar on the Strat page, because I am so used to buying Strats and going straight to the Strat forum, please excuse my stupid moment. I must have had jet lagged from flying back from the winter Namm Show and drooling about all those cool Fender Telecasters. :D

I'd love to get my hands on one of these. The price is reasonable as well compared to some other Fender guitars in that range.

Any more info on the pickups it has in it or more specs?

My guitar dealer is www.harrysguitarshop.com
Ask for Harry and you will get a good deal. He is a friend of mine and I have been buying guitars from him for about 15 years now. He has ordered the 12 series of Telecasters that will be released each month. His customer service is fantastic and his business partner Pee Wee is another great guy to deal with also. I picked up the guitar at the Namm Show and it was very light, compared to the rosewood Tele out of that series. It has the Fender Hot Rod Tele neck, vintage hardware and a neck plate on the back of the guitar with Brown Canyon on it. All of these Tele's in this series are great guitars. I wish I could buy 4 of them! :D

That guitar is stunning. I love the idea of reclaimed wood projects.

Are they going to make a Strat along with the Tele ?

That would be cool too.

Got to test-drive this among the other 60th Anniv. Teles... VERY resonant, fairly light, and has quite a unique tone, like the 60th Anniv. Pine Tele from the same run.

What neck on what guitar doesn't match the body? What finish color should be on the neck to match the body of the guitar?
