I have a 1985 MIJ Squier Tele with a serial number that starts E7. The guitar has a single ply 5 screw scratchplate, Fender Japan stamped tuners and a fabulous maple neck. Strangely though the strings anchor at the back of the bridge rather than through the body.

From reading other posts it appears that there is some reverence reserved for these 'E series' guitars. Is my guitar rare or sought after? To me it's always been 'just' a Squier Tele, albiet a very good instrument in it's own right.

If you're happy with your tele that enough to play and take pleasure. If it's a rare one, that could be an advantage for a deal.
