So, I'm working on my slide playing, or rather I'm learning how to play slide and I've been playing "I Can't Be Satisfied" by Muddy Waters tonight. That is a really fun song to play. I'm still working through it, but I've got the basics down. Sounds fantastic with my Tele through my Pro JR cranked up. I'm using the neck pick-up on my Tele with the Tone all the way up and the amp's tone knob is all the way down to '1'. Nice slide sound.

Anyone else just learning to play slide? If so, what songs are you working on?

Actually, I'm also working on some Muddy tunes. Louisiana Blues, right now.

I've been fooling around with the slide. Gonna build me a stop tail for just that. Can't really say I've been working on any particular song, but have discovered a really cool tuning. D-A-D-D-A-D, slight variation from the open D (which sounds amazing for slide). just thought I'd share. Rock on fellas!

I've set up my Les Paul copy for slide--I still want to tweak it a bit, the new nut is a bit too high.
And I have new pickups for it.

I prefer open G--I have some stuff from books & online that I play to learn it better--and I'm coming up with my own song ideas as well.

Lots of fun, should have done this years ago...
