I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, but I just bought Tele Thinline clone. You may view the details here. I've heard nothing but good reviews about them, and the quality, fit and finish of the Agile line seems to be quite high. Anyway, I figured for the price it was worth a shot. I've also just acquired an SF Champ and think they will make a good pair. Although the Agile line offers better quality pickups in some other style of guitar, (i.e. Les Paul clones,) the Tele clone has ceramic-magnet pickups. I would like to replace them with some stock Fender Alnico 3 pickups. My question is this: if the pickups have staggered poles and I am left-handed, does that mean I need to be looking for left-handed pickups? I know this sounds funny, and someone is bound to send me looking for muffler bearings, but since I don't know I have to ask, right? Anyway, I've never heard of left handed pickups or never seen any for sale. But it seems that I have seen staggered poles that were not staggered symmetrically from low-E to high-E so this does seem to be a viable concern to me.

Thanks

(Norton braces for onslaught of curses for buying an impostor.)

Well, it seems this guitar was out of stock and they refunded my money. I'm off to find an MIM... hopefully a BSB with a black pickguard. (Nothing sexier!)

I'll still want to replace the pickups, so my question remains.

to the best of my knowledge, there is no "left hand" pups. If so, they may be called "REVERSE STAGGER". Jimi did not reverse his pups when he flipped his guitars, this resulted in a change in the "A" and "B" strings. personally, I like putting my pups in backwards. I'm right handed, so I flip the pups just to add these subtle nuances. your "A" wll have a bit more bite, where the "B" comes out a bit more velvety. I would advise to check out GUITAR FETISH, I got a set of 60's overwounds and they sound great!

Thanks, "reverse staggered", that makes sense -- and maybe even rings a dim bell. I got some good advice on the Strat forum about MIM's, and I've found a 2008 model Tele on Ebay. I'll know in about 30 minutes if I win it. :D

Thanks for the tip on Guitar Fetish, I'll check them out.
