The other big suprise for me was Alvin Lee. He lives right by me. I think it's time to dig my big overcoat out and resume my stalking career!

I thought both of em were American guys.

When it comes to those two, Alvin Lee had one shining moment in the move Woodstock and Albert Lee has had a distinguished career as a guitarist with the Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmy Lou Harris...and has played on many, many great records.

I'm much to young to really understand the blues. At 19 years old, I really enjoy listening to it, but I haven't enough life experience to really feel the music. What I am into is more ambient and modern tones that aren't so guitar and one person based. I kinda prefer the whole tightness of a band feel in music. That being said I really look up to guys like Buddy Guy and other blues musicians.

So my question, any older pickers who play like this?

EDIT: (Added another link)

same band but wicked instrumentals in song.

Mathematicaly??? Yeah plenty. Just learn to count and it aint that difficult. What you're hearing there is two guitars playing seperate melodies, timed to meet at the point where they match best. Like having one guitarist play one song, the other play another with the bass and drums just going along on a happy medium. Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden being the propegators of that style of lead work, though their a lot more technical.

Though I often bemoan the way blues is rehashed and constantly regurgitated to the point of keeping the guitar world in utter stagnation. I wouldn't be without some of it. I really wouldn't let age or lifestyle play a factor in whether I was worthy to listen to it. I've never met a 16 year old who hasn't felt down. All that school agro and hormones going ballistic, not my idea of a easy lifestyle.
Infact I've never met anyone who hasn't felt down at atleast one point in their lives. Even millionaires.
Imagine having to face the daily problem of which Bently to use. Then whether you should drive it yourself or have the chauffeur ferry you about.
I jest, but everyone has their source of discomfort.
