The Custom Teles (which should not be confused with the humbucker-equipped '70s Tele Customs) sport a double-bound body.

Fender offers two Custom Artist signature models which are based on the Custom Telecaster, the aforementioned Andy Summers '63 and the Albert Collins '66, both featuring a chrome covered humbucker in the neck.

I like both depending what you are expecting visually from your Tele, bound looks more civilized, unbound looks more authentic...

What's not to love with one of these?
The binding looks gorgeous next to the sunburst.

Well, for $179, it's not bad. But I wouldn't trade my unbound tele for it, no.

The price on the Fender site states $599.99, so where does your $179.00 come from?

Sorry, my mistake - I mistook it for the Affinity, which is $179.99

The Classic Vibe is still only $399.99 (the MSRP that Fender states is just so dealers can pretend they're on sale - the real standard price is $399.99):

They're still a great buy for those who are on a tight budget, but make no mistake, there's plenty not to like on the cheaper Made in China Squiers.
