Whats up guys, just got the shock of my holidays when the wife surprised me with a new AV52RI (not Hot-Rod). So f'n Sweet, but any ways- thats another rant.

I have a 50's CV squire tele that really holds up next to this American, and I only have $150 invested...I dont need 2 teles set up the same way. Should I...

1) drop a SD mini hum (like the Hot-Rod 52 has) in the CV and put a new pick guard on it? Anyone seen this?

2) Bigsby trem?

3) trade toward blacktop tele with HH setup?

Thoughts?

Thanks

I like option 1.

Though I've heard a lot of good things about the blacktops....haven't played one though.

Congrats on the '52... :)

Hi Trent welcome to the forum,I wouldn't do anything to alter the sound of that guitar as the pickups that are in her already are great as is.The only option of the ones you suggested for me it would be the Bigsby as it's the pickups in themselves that make your guitar sound so good.

What I did with my Squier tele was put a full HB in the neck...real Stones vibe...would kick that mini's butt.

On a separate note...I wish my wife would buy me a sweet $@! guitar like that!
