Is the roadworn tele A well built quality MIM guitar, or should i be passing on it?

I have heard some good things about it...but I have heard better about the American Special for around the same price.

Definitely a good guitar, but check the Baja Telecaster and Am. Special too.

there was something i didn't like about the baja, i will have to remember what it is.

I hear good things about the Vibe squire's. but i do like having the Fender logo on the guitar, reminds me of my grandpa.

and i love the road worn blonde, just wish it was it was not worn but still thin nitro.

the Baja aww yes Gloss Urethane neck, didn't like that

If you want un worn but still thin nitro check out the highway one teles. You can always change pickups and necks.

I love the HWY 1 series but the problem is it isnt a true nitro finish. It will check, fade and wear over time but will never look like a vintage nitro finish does after years of being played.

another crazy thing i noticed about the RW Tele. the one at L&M played great sounded great and felt really really good, average weight to it. I played another at Axe Music and it sounded really dull had no resonance and weighed about as much as 3 Les Paul's combined, Crap guitar

It'll look like a clear poly finished guitar underneath the nitro layer. You'll see the dings and chips, but rather than being wood underneath like a true vintage nitro finish, there is a later of poly underneath. It still looks "reliced" so to speak, but keep in mind the poly underneath will cause it to look much different than a true nitro finish that has aged.

I'm one of the guys that had a '52 I think it was back in '71, I had it for a year maybe two. My work took out of the country for months at a time so I sold it, got a high price of $300. I was stoked as back then. I would buy a new one when I returned and would stay home for a while.
Well to get to the point, I never stopped traveling till 3 Years (27 years later) ago but have been looking for a reissue ever since sold the 1st one. It's just that $1000-$3000 is still a sticker shock for me...........but I will adjust to reality and bone up and buy a nice used one soon.

I do miss the old one and being able to go the Fullerton location to look at the latest stuff and see old Leo.

I have a mexican made 72 tele deluxe, and have no problems, apart from fret buzz with it. I am in the process of fixing that though.

If you try it in a shop, you like it, and you cant find any thing wrong with it, then go for it.
