Have a look at the Big Muff PI,they can either tame down the Tele treble and make it bassy or bring up the treble 'til it can cut glass plus it sustains like no other pedal.

I love these kind of threads because you'll get 100 different answers because tone is completely subjective.

FWIW, I LOVE my Barber 1/2 Gainer with my Teles. Nice grind that sounds like a Fender tube amp on the edge of breakup.

I second that :D Its probably one of the best OD pedals out on the market (and its been around for years and years)
I'm getting the one with the tone wicker that allows to boost the treble. Very versitle I must say...

Check out the OD pedals that use a preamp tube in the circuit.

Seymour Duncan
Damage Control
etc...

The Way Huge Electronics Pork Loin (an overdrive pedal) is awesome. It has a great amount of overdrive, it's true bypass, and it has internal trimmers for more tone control (which the external controls are already plenty). The coolest thing about the pedal is the "clean" dial which allows you to dial in a clean signal on top of the overdriven signal. This really preserves the beautiful Tele tone. The video below does a better job of explaining the dials.
