I am looking for feedback on the Fender Deluxe Series Power Telecaster. None of my local guitar stores have this model. I was wondering how the guitar plays and sounds especially the Fishman power bridge piezo pickup, and how does the stereo feature work and sound? Any and all feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny V

Kenny,

Mine is about 6 years old. It's a very nice Tele (Candy Apple Red, Rosewood neck, red tortoise shell pickguard). Sounds and plays excellent. It comes w/ a Y cord to run 2 amps at once. 3 pup configuration gives you a good mix of tone. Not really accoustic and not classic Tele "twang", but close enough to be interesting.

Fishman power bridge piezo pickups are the only potential problems. I've heard of them going bad, one at a time, and they are kinda hard to find. I've not had problems with mine. Mine tends to eat the battery, since I'll leave it plugged into the amp when I'm not playing and forget about it.

It'll take you a bit to get the "knobology" understood to run the pups, piezo and volume, but no big deal.

I've got 3 different Nashvilles - this one (MIM), a standard Deluxe Nashville (MIM), and my new American Nashville w/ the B-Bender. None will ever be my #1 Tele, but they all have their place in the herd, and I'm happy to have them. I wouldn't ever get rid of/trade them off.

I like mine, can't find a fault with it, and would certainly recommend one to you.

RickyD

I just received a used candy apple red power Nashville Tele today. This is the first time I bought a guitar on e-bay. All I can say is I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The guitar is amazing, fantastic sound versatility and it plays like a dream. Thanks RickyD for your input without it I probably would not have purchased this guitar site unseen/played. I tried to post photos but I am unable to. Any help on how to post photo would be appreciated.

Kenny,

I'm glad your Nashville worked out for you - they are a very nice Tele.

Snowy - one of these days I'll get the herd out and get some pics - I have a few I'll bet you like.

Hi there! Someone called?
Ok here goes:

I'd create an account at photobucket.com or some other hosting service. There you upload the pictures.
You can embedd pictures if you paste links into the message you're creating, then highlight the link and press on the "Img"-button at the top of the menu.

Or, and even easier, you can trigger an already formatted link of the desired image straight from photobucket, and simply paste it into the message.

Man, I didn't know this little tutorial had gained that kind of fame around here. Wow! ;)

Cheers guys, and congrats on the new guitar, Kenny!

Good man Nutter, I knew we could count on you  I've been meaning to do the same thing Ricky, I don't have a pic with all my Tele's together. A group pic is what's required 8) watch this space :D

Holy crapola!!!! I was discussing this very sketch last night!!! some friends and I were trying to figure out the top ten Python sketches. BRM is very high on my top ten mate  I reckon your post should be made a sticky, in all the forums. Just my humble opinion though, thanks again Nutter.

Ah! Well that makes us two, for I too was contemplating my favourite Python sketches yesterday (and today, in fact, it never seems to stop). So far I would say the "What's on the Telly"-"Looks like a penguin"-sketch is probably the most funny. But it changes, and there will be other days when you will see me write something completely different.

Which is to say, exactly what I'll write this very minute:

And now for something completely different: A man with a Nashville Telecaster on his sofa.

*waits patiently*

:D
