Isn't Morellos Tele just a stock model from the mid-1990s? If so, then just get one of those and add stickers like he did.

He also strikes me as the kind of person who wouldn't want a signature guitar based on interviews I've read.

It's a 1982 that he plays in D-drop.

According to Wikipedia.

So, my vote would be No as well.

Your post got me thinking so I did a quick google photo search - Wikipedia is wrong; the guitar is definitely an American Standard, not a 1982 since it has a 22-fret neck and the original American Standard/American Series bridge. The photo I found shows the original American Standard headstock logo so it would be circa 1986-1995. It's probably an early one since they used E3XXXXX and E4XXXXX serial numbers on the 1986-87s - hence the confusion about it being an older model.

And I can't believe I spent this much time on Tom Morello, but I'm bored and waiting on a furnace repairman this morning.

Whilst I'd agree that Morello (a man of moral note and Harvard educated) is entirely worthy of a signature instrument. The concept goes completely against his moral standpoint against consumerism and massive business conglomerates.

Fender on the other hand, cover both of those traits exceptionaly well. I think he'd knock it back.

It's also the reason there isn't a Springsteen telecaster, before any of the politicals get involved.

Also doesn't he play copies? Pretty sure his strat and tele are both copies. Again due to his avoidance of big business's. Despite operating in one of the biggest business's out there, aside from oil, arms and banking.
