Geez, that stuff fixes everything. Is it permanent though? Ive seen a mod in a Dan Erlewine book that fixes 2 screws tight into the body somehow.

Tighen with two needle nose pliers and the first one clamp down hard on the barrel till it deforms a little and then rotate the nut down one more turn and it will never come off!

The electrosocket upgrade is about $12. Relatively easy mod that uses two screws. Another option would be a "football" style jack that would allow the flexibility of using 90 degree angle cord. The previous owner of my MIM sunburst tele installed one of these and it is very tight.

Yes Ive seen those Bill Kirchen mods but im hessitant to drill any holes in my tele. Im gonna try the loctite. I definitely dont want to make it so I can never get it off, that isnt a good idea IMO.

Yeah I dunno it only took 2 days before my brand new input jack came loose. It wasnt even loose really, I mean it was hand tight and still the guitar was crapping out. I tightened it up with a socket pretty good so we'll see how that holds. Im gonna try the locktite. Im not gonna drill holes in her, or do anything as sacreligous as put a gibson style jack in there.

you cant just use a socket you will twist off the wires inside the jack you have to use two neddle nose pliers . Holding the barrel with threads still while putting a turn on the nut . Three threads will show when its tight.

By the way they are not tight from the factory.
You just have to thighen with a set of needle nose pliers

THats is it

Problem solved for ever and you dont have to by the srew in plug that will do the same thing anyway because the part that slips is still the same.
lol

When all else fails a little "gentle force" works wonders!
