I have a Z5 Tele with a 60th ann. button. The neck is labled USA however when I changed pickguards (to black) I discovered it was routed for a humbucker in the neck. It has a Corona neck plate and is a natural color. It did come with a new case and all case candy, did I get bamboozled or is this guitar legit?

First of all pics would help to be 100% certain. But I bet it's fine. Yours could be an early 2006 and Fender was still using up necks finished in 2005 with a 2005 serial number. There is always overlap into the next year. Also, American Series (and the current Am Stds) are routed for a humbucker for neck pickup. From your descriptions it sounds OK to me.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will post some pics after breaking it down...didn't know all were routed for buckers so I don't feel as bad now...
