Hello:

I'm trying to put together a "Case Candy" set for a 50's Telecaster for a friend. I want to include the correct tools and other goodies that would have come with this guitar (you know, manual, bumper stickers, etc.).

Trouble is, I don't have access to the guitar to see what kind of wrenches it needs, if any.

So, if anyone has one of these and can tell me what came with it, I'd appreciate it. What I'm particularly interested in is the tools:

Does this guitar use hex (allen) wrenches for the bridge height? If so, is it the .050 size that fits USA Strats and certain Teles with Strat-like bridges?

Does this guitar use a Truss wrench? I would think this would have a vintage neck (no truss rod), but pictures on line seem to suggest there's a truss adjustment hole at the headstock.

Adding to the confusion is, I think the Road Worn 50's Telecaster is made in Mexico, but pictures seem to suggest it takes the US size Truss Wrench, if it does, so I really don't know: US (1/8 inch), MIM (3/16 inch), or No Truss wrench?

For the bridge, does it use the US (.050), MIM (1/16 inch), or none (slotted screws for bridge)?

Now, for extras, I believe I have a "Road Worn" tag somewhere. Any other goodies unique to the Road Worn 50's Tele?

Thanks!

Dan

No allen wrenches needed for Road Worn Teles. It has vintage style hardware, so only a pillips and flat-head screwdrivers are needed.

*Truss rod access is at the heel of the neck and uses a phillips screwdriver.
*Use a phillips screwdriver for intonation also.
*Use a small flat-head screwdriver for string height screws.
