I had played a bigby before best trick I know of is tune the guitar,
wale on the bigsby then retune it it should stay in tune

I owned a tele w/ a Bigsby. It was a pain in the butt. Way too much trouble to change strings and the bridge is a terrible design. I always had this really anoying rattle that I could not get rid of no matter what I did.

Bigsbys are better with Gibsons. I think that it has to do with the bridges that they use. Fender use the bridge comes on the Fender Jaguar.
It looks really cool, but it's not worth it. Don't waiste your money. In the end it's up to you.

I've always loved the way bigsby trems look. They really add class to any tele.

i find like most wang bars it all depends on the proper set up ,and of course if you use 9 verses 11 you will always have more tuning issues

Bigsbys [what the hell is the plural of that!?]

aren't just for looks you know -- it adds a lot more sustain to guitars like the Telecaster; which has a straight neck. the Les Pauls have the neck angled back so the strings would be stretched out and have more sustain.

i guess putting a Bigsby on a Les Paul gives it more sustain AND a Tremolo bar.
