Sorry if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find anything in the search.

I just saw on tdri.com that Fender is previewing new 2011 Teles on their facebook page.

Kinda like 'em both - especially the butterscotch!

Do you know if it will be MIM or MIA?

Considering the butterscotch/blond has 22 frets I'm going to say it's an American made.

The new RW players series will probably be MIM. Looks good though. I go back and forth with RW. This one looks like they toned the relicing down and I like the HB in the neck. Keef like!

Wonder if they'll have an ash version for the Road Worn Player as well. A guitar that comes with the Keith Richards/Albert Collins look built in is my kind of guitar.

A butterscotch blackguard a la "Micawber" or a double-bound natural "custom" like ole Iceman's original modified '66?

Fender is on a roll these days.. They have tapped into what the players want and need. This goes for guitars and amps.. Their use of technology is amazing. Remember the 80's when Fender as drifting aimlessly.... I thought both Gibon and Fender sucked back then... Gretsch was in the same boat. Not that way anymore.

Yeah, have you seen what's going on over at Gibson? Tragedy! It's why I love Fender as a company - stick to what you do best and always find new ways of improving.

I think they should fo both (or something inspired by them) at normal price levels. Double binding might make the guitar pretty expensive so I think Keith's Tele would be a better starting point.

I have to admit that I just prefer guitars that show a nice wood grain... an ash body Tele is always high on my GAS list. Doesn't even have to be in the creamy/butterscotch finishes family.

If you want to see what is done in China... Take a close look at this website. The categories are incorrect. I wonder if they did that on purpose to make it even more low key that it already is...

The factory in China's website with the models we all know an love... from Gibson, Fender, Squier, Jackson, you name it... they make it.

http://www.chinaguitarfactory.com/index.html

Enjoy cause I don't know if this is supposed to be up or not.
