I have a standard Fender Mexican Telecaster, great pick ups to be honest. I'm just wondering, what would be the best strings to use to optimize the sound follow, I play mainly Blues and Rock, Regular gauge set up at the moment

Thanks!

Hi.
That's almost like asking which is the best colour?!

What is great for one person is rubbish for the next. Try many different strings and work out which sound and feel best TO YOU.

Many people swear by D'Addario but I personally hate them. My faves at the moment are Elixir nanoweb and Ernie Ball Slinkys for my Tele and Fender Super Bullets or Dean Marlkey Blue Steel on my Strat.

Cheers.

Yup...that's a pretty subjective question since nearly everyone has their particular "sounds" in mind for their guitars.

Right now I have Super Slinkys on mine. I like them a bit better than the stock Fender strings but I haven't tried a whole bunch. Plus I want to try a heavier gauge to see what effect that will have too. The never ending search...

EB Slinkys on my HWY 1 and EB Super Slinkys on my Custom II. Somebody posted on here awhile back a site that showed most string companys use the exact same string wire.
Find what you like and stick with em.

I favor the earnie ball super slinkys, but like everyone else said, this is a very personal question. You ask 50 people you might get 50 totaly different answers.

I play mostly blues and classic rock and have found D'Addarios the best for me after trying just about every other brand.I do really hard bends -Jimi Hendrix & Buddy Guy like and even on guitars where I use the whammy very agressively the D'Addarios stay in tune and hold their brightness much longer than others.I use 8-38s but I imagine that's way too light for most people.
