Hello and thank you all for your honesty and insight into all things FENDER.
This is my first post and I hope to be able to discuss the value of custom shop guitars as well as my anniv tele. I boght it new as an investment but I haven't seen it increase in value much or so it seems from the only examples I've seen for sale on the net. Since it is almost 20 years old and #22 of only 300 made is this guitar going to be increaseing in value faster now?

This series was the very first Limited Edition done after the start of the Custom Shop.
Only 300 made, and they are much coveted.
On top they are outstandingly well finished guitars with the very best woods as they don't make them anymore like that (nothing detrimental to the new ones)
Keep it my friend, I dare not tell you how much I paid mine last year after a very long search to find one in a pristine condition.

alainlafrance,

You have the most amazing collection of modern Stratocasters I have ever seen! Not to mention extremely impressive collections of other Fender, Gibson, and Guild guitars as well. I am blown away by it.

Well that settles it she's a keeper! :D

BTW there is a 40th anniv tele for sale at RocknRoll Vintage on Ebay right now it's #151 and so far the bid is just over 12 hundred $

Many thanks Alain

I'm not much of a collector...I just got the three guitars.

Do you actually play something like that, or just use it as art?

Perhaps take it for an occasional spin like a '57 chevy on a sunny day?

I have been playing mine more lately since I had the set up fine tuned but I still play my '74 tele deluxe the most. I am more used to the neck on it.
and I try to keep the wear to a minimum on my anniv tele.

The latest one on eBay went for about $3100. Out of my budget (according to my wife... )

So we know of the ebay one, Koyote63 has one, alainlafrance has one and Keith Urban has two. Now where are the other 295????

Gorgeous telecaster, I would love one...
