strattastic12,

No - you're not crazy - you're just beginning to see the light! I don't think you can find a better guitar than the Tele. You've got an awesome Tele with your Baja.

I think Josh Homme plays an American Deluxe Ash Tele. The color is Wine Transparent with a rosewood neck. It's for sure a modern Tele. It has the modern bridge and a 22 fret neck, B/W/B pickguard.

Check this link - it's the same guitar, only w/ a maple neck, but you can get them in rosewood. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleADAMWN/

Welcome to the Tele side of life!

Wow! That is a beautiful color. And with a rosewood neck it must look even better!

I have to remember that color.

Thanks for the link,

Well I don't see the rosewood neck version of the guitar...only it's current color and also a BB version. That "wine transparent" just knocks me out!

So does the price but hey! I can dream...

Yeah I'm mainly a Les Paul guy, but I became a Tele convert back in January of this year.

I bought an Olympic White American Special and I love it so much!!

I enjoyed it so much that I freaked out and bought a '52 AVRI Tele also!

Now I'm in Tele Heaven. Both those guitars are a pure joy to play.

I still play my Les Pauls all the time. I go back and forth between Teles and Les Pauls. I don't prefer one over the other. Just 2 completely different but equally delicious flavors. 8)

Is this your first guitar? I'm assuming no.For that reason you must have played other kinds of guitar.if you can remember theirs sounds, when you played lead and rythm.then you fall on a telecaster.that guitar there fills the sounds of lead and rythm.i found that the telecaster was made for both of them.and when i see people that used to play other kinds of guitars, and then they discover the telecastger for its tone, clarity, just the good amount of bass or equal well balance sound.then i know i was on the right track. :D

yep, me too

bought a Mex Tele yesterday from a pal who has unfortunately gone deaf, seems about 10 years old, but unmarked

absolutely love it so far, esp with MXR dyna comp through Princeton Stereo Chorus

have had strat & epi 335 for years, but this is going to revitalise my playing

Jerry Donahue is playing just down the road soon, so am aiming to get some twang tips from him, & the band I'm in might need to think about someone else learning bass to allow me a bit of a blow now & then on a 6 string...hint hint guys.....

Welcome to the familly. I couldn't agree more with the comments. I bought my 52 Tele reissue way back in '94 and although I have bought more guitars since, it is still my main guitar. Nothing comes close. I play in a covers band and can do Stooges, MC5, Ramones, Nirvana, U2 , Green day ,Stereophonics all with my Tele. I play my other guitars for a change but nothing beats the Tele. ENJOY!!!

i too, have just got a Baja. Sweet as a nut. I have a tele-style Schecter too, which is cool but has Duncan design pickups and I use that for rockier tunes. Telecasters are just the dogs wotsits.

I had never even played a Tele before this one caught my eye at Guitar Center...

I've had it for about 9 months and I'm thinking a fret dress is in order. I've been playing the living hell of my Tele, and loving every minute of it. I really don't play anything else anymore.

Look at the top of this web page for the word "FAQ" and scroll down to how to post pics.

Actually the bit of the FAQ that deals with images is titled "Can I post images?" and it's poorly documented. As it's such a comon question that people ask I don't know why they don't have a proper step by step explanation in the FAQ.

I have a message that I sent to someone recently that explains posting of images so I'll send that message to the person who was asking about it.
