It was mexican tele, pretty much normal, except the knobs and the humbuckers, which looked more like a gibson humbucker. I'm kind of interested in it, and I didn't even see this one the website. The guy at the store claimed it was a brand new thing Fender came out with, and called a "blacktop" model or something like that.

Anyone else see these?

They've come up on a few forums, there is an equivalent jazz master, jaguar ,and strat all with much the same features.
I think they're set to retail at about $400.

Yeah, they were asking $425. I'm actually interested in how it sounds. They were closing up when I first saw it, so I need to go back and play it, and plug it in.

Hi there.

If you mean a Telecaster with a neck humbucker and the switch plate reversed, yes both are common user customizes.

Nice looking Tele, what are they asking for it?

I wish I would've got a picture without my arm. It has two humbuckers. It is not a ReIssue. There is no mention of this guitar on the present product lineup. I just rechecked. It is a plain ole Tele, same pickguard as all the others, with two gibson looking humbuckers, not the tele humbuckers. The knobs are like the 72 RI models, but that's the only other exception.

They're asking $425.

That's one of the new "Blacktop Series" from Fender Mexico. $425 sounds like where they will retail them.
