without it being a roadworn? Just a normal 72 deluxe with an arctic white finish.

Hi there.

There are two ways to get one.

1) Buy the guitar and have it painted.

2) Call up the custom shop.

is there a difference in the tone/hardware (or software?) between the regular 72 deluxe and the roadworn? Because it would be easier to just repaint a regular black 72, but i think the roadworn has a better tone.

I don't really know what you mean by software, but I think the hardware is the same, though worn obviously.
The tone probably would be better on the road worn because it has a nitro finish.

haha, software is the wrong word for it i guess, but basically i mean the wiring and the difference in pick ups. But i guess what you're saying is that they're pretty much the same except for the poly finish or nitro finish. correct?

That's really the key. In 2006, Guitar Center commissioned a Factory Special Run in Arctic White. I got mine used for $550 at a guitar show last year.

I love this guitar! 8)
