I think the AVRI 52 is a great guitar. Looks good, sounds good, plays real smooth and a the 7.25 is a comfy neck radius, for me at least. One of the top 5 guitars I ever played was a 1982 AVRI 52 Telecaster. I think it is a wise choice that you won't regret.

I like also having Teles with neckbuckers, but I won't part with my '52 AVRI.

How do you guys feel about the tiny frets? do they mess up your vibrato or bending at all?

You can't go wrong with a '52.

I'm mostly a Les Paul guy...... but I love my '52 AVRI Tele so much!!!

It looks so beautiful. Sounds so awesome clean or dirty. And just plays so nicely! Even though it took me a little bit to get used to the 7.5 radius neck with the small vintage frets. It only took me a few minutes before I "got it" with that guitar.

Here's me playing it:

And here's some pics to convince you to buy one. :D

Hi there.

I know I will be flamed for saying this but.....

The 1952 to me the neck pick up it far too dark, then board it to round and the frets are too small, and I do not care for the lack of intonation with the three brass barrels.

With that said, it is a beautiful looking guitar.

That is why I will recommend you look at the 1952 HOT ROD version, as it has a far better sounding neck pick up, medium jumbo frets and a 9.5 radius board, and still has the looks.

This would be my choice hands down.....after I added the newer style tailpiece.
