Hi

I've been thinking of getting a Thinline, but I picked up a friend's MIJ Jerry Donahue yesterday - as light as a feather.

Are there any more lightweight Teles out there? What should I be looking for?

Thanks for your help

There is a company in LA that makes hand made tele's called LSL Guitars. They make a super light weight pine tele that is flat amazing. Everything is hand made. they aren't using pre-made necks or bodies. They are called T-Bone Tele's. I saw a video demo of one and was blown away.

I have a Custom Shop Jerry Donahue, definitely one of the lightest Teles I've ever played :)

The next-lightest Tele I have is a Spalted Maple FMT HH, but it's all mahogany, don't know if that's what you're looking for.

You just need to play a few until you find one. I had a chance to play an alder body HW1 that was pretty light. There's a big variance in weight for most woods, so it's really just trial and error when you're looking for a guitar.
